With the news that BT Redcare are no longer going to be in business, PSTN is being shutdown in the South East in the Spring of 2024 and South West in the summer of 2024, and that 3G is already being phased out, then everyone with a monitored alarm or remotely accessed security system should check to see if they will be effected.

If you have a Qolsys burglar alarm system, a ADC cameras, or ADC doorbell installed by SDL Security then you do not need to worry.

In the Qolsys IQ 4 panel we have 4G LTE & Wi-Fi built into the panel. The Qolsys panel will identify the quickest reporting method (either 4G or WiFi) to send alarm signals to your smart phone, and the same applies when you log in from your ADC app. If either your WiFi or your 4G signal drop out temporarily the other will communicate as the primary signalling system. The loss of BT Redcare, PSTN lines, and 3G will not cause you a problem.

With Qolsys IQ 4, ADC WiFi Cameras, and ADC WiFi Doorbells installed by SDL Security Limited you are making the smart choice. To find out more choose one of the links above.
